Thompson Twins were a British pop band that formed in April 1977. Initially a new wave group, they switched to a more mainstream pop sound and achieved considerable popularity from 1983, scoring a string of hits in the United Kingdom, the United States, and around the world. In 1993, they changed their name to Babble, to reflect their change in music from new wave to dub-influenced chill-out. They continued as Babble through 1996, at which point the group permanently dissolved.
The concert with Thompson Twins, Culture Club and B52s was fun. I like TT but they had technically issues which was unfortunate and stopped the momentum. Love Culture Club and Boy George simply glorious. Absolutely fantastic concert. Will definetly hope to see again. Wembley was full of love for a boy from eltham.
Thompson Twins (band) created a poll. Also keep in mind that Tom is about to release a solo album this year, so I'll take EVERY ounce of publicity that will work in 2018 Tom's favour. Yep, I want physical products (not just some "streaming" album), videos, radio play, magazine articles, and ESPECIALLY tour dates, more tour dates, and even MORE tour dates this summer! So, go show your support for Tom and stream the Leeway,/download the Currie out of this new mix, and have some fun seeing Tom bask a bit more in the spotlight.
Boy George & Culture Club still sound great. Tom Bailey from Thompson Twins were right on tune, and everything about them was great! That was one of the best concerts and I have been to a lot of concerts in the past 5 years. Culture club in concert: Calling all karma chameleons: Culture Club is back on the road to promote their latest album Tribes, and fans across North America can relive the ‘80s as Boy George and company perform their classic new wave hits on tour. In concert Boy George remains as fierce a showman as ever, taking the stage with the same gender-bending makeup and outré fashion that made him a global ‘80s icon.
