Here Comes the Sun" is a song written by George Harrison that was first released on the Beatles' 1969 album Abbey Road. Along with "Something" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", it is one of Harrison's best-known compositions from the Beatles era. The song was written at the country house of his friend Eric Clapton, where Harrison had chosen to play truant for the day, to avoid attending a meeting at the Beatles' Apple Corps organisation.

Relations among the Beatles were more cordial, though still strained, when the band recorded their 1969 album Abbey Road. The LP included what Lavezzoli describes as "two classic contributions" from Harrison – "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something" – that saw him "finally achieve equal songwriting status" with Lennon and McCartney. In December 1969, Harrison participated in a brief tour of Europe with the American group Delaney & Bonnie and Friends. During the tour that included Clapton, Bobby Whitlock, drummer Jim Gordon and band leaders Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, Harrison began to write "My Sweet Lord", which became his first single as a solo artist. Delaney Bramlett inspired Harrison to learn slide guitar

Anyway, it seems as if winter in England goes on forever, by the time spring comes you really deserve it. So one day I decided I’m going to sag off Apple and I went over to Eric’s house. I was walking in his garden. There are another two songs from George on The Beatles’ final solo album, Let it Be. ‘For You Blue’ was started in January 1969 and finished a year later and as well as being included on the album it was the b-side of ‘The Long and Winding Road’ in the US. It was originally called, ‘George’s Blues (Because You’re Sweet and Lovely)’ and the lyrics even reference blues great Elmore James.

George Harrison and Eric Clapton performing on Oct. 23rd 1985. Eric Clapton has announced a new studio album for this spring, and it will include contributions from and old friend. The new set I Still Do drops May 20 and features acoustic guitar and vocals on the track I Will Be There from a musician named Angelo Mysterioso. This just happens to be a pseudonym used decades ago by none other than George Harrison. The late Beatles guitarist first used the moniker when co-writing the song "Badge for the 1969 Cream album Goodbye. I Still Do is Clapton’s first album to feature his own new material since 2013’s Old Sock. It comes out via his own Bushbranch imprint, in cooperation with Surfdog Records. Harrison wrote "Here Comes the Sun" at Clapton's country home; the duo toured with Delaney & Bonnie in 1969 and, well. let's just get right to the music below! Please note that this is not a guide to every recorded Clapton-Beatle collaboration during this period; we just want to revisit the highlights. SKI-ING George Harrison 1968 Eric and George Around the same time as "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," Clapton added some Cream-esque guitar to "Ski-ing," a fairly simple, catchy and super-psychedelic instrumental from Harrison's first solo album of sorts, a wonderfully obscure movie-soundtrack disc called Wonderwall Music, which came out in November 1968.
