Their debut album - England Made Me - was a distressing, vacant eye staring over the unspoken horror of everyday England, so one wondered where they could go from there. With The Facts of Life, they moved that voyeuristic, cynical stare away from suicide and car crashes and focused it on small-town dating and disenchanted sex lives. Strangely enough, the horror feels the same.

Record Label: Jetset. Release Date: Mar 20, 2001. The Facts of Life is a more polished affair, casting vocalist Sarah Nixey's wispy hush into a pool of plucked strings and orchestral flourish - duly poisoned by some blippy Air trippiness. Unfortunately, the same can not be said of at least a third of the album which, at its worst, delves into overslick and trite examinations of adolescent sexuality. It's definitely worth purchasing for the above-mentioned songs, but keep your finger on the "track-forward" button.

Album The Facts Of Life. The Art Of Driving Lyrics. La la la, la la la la la La la la, la la la la la. You're quite precautious I know which button should be pressed Let's go out driving I'll wait until you pass the test We can get a hood down Throw away those learner plates You got the hang of steering Now try stepping on the brakes. Maybe wait until the summertime Maybe wait until December Because a heartfelt seduction Lasts a life time. You've been driving way too fast You've been pushing way too hard You've been taking things too far Who do you think you are? It's called the art of driving The art of driving It's just the art of driving.

All songs written by Luke Haines and John Moore.
