The Band is the second studio album by the Band, released on September 22, 1969. It is also known as The Brown Album. According to Rob Bowman's liner notes for the 2000 reissue, The Band has been viewed as a concept album, with the songs focusing on people, places and traditions associated with an older version of Americana.

Greatest Hits is a compilation album by the Canadian-American rock group The Band. The album was released in conjunction with remastered versions of the group's first four albums. It draws very heavily from these records, with thirteen of the eighteen tracks selected from Music from Big Pink, The Band, Stage Fright and Cahoots. All tracks composed by Robbie Robertson unless otherwise noted. John Simon - producer (tracks 1-8). The Band - producers (tracks 9-18).
The musical has worked both to keep the band and their songs in the public eye and provide a way for fans to continue to show their endless love for Queen’s music. Wo. eems like like only yesterday. The musical was performed on London’s West End from 2002-2014, and became one of the longest running musicals in West End history. 27 years after Mercury’s death, the story of both he and Queen is being retold in the film Bohemian Rhapsody, showcasing the rise of the band and some of the highlights of their career.
The best power-pop band of the last 20 years has always specialized in making knotty ideas and rich abstractions churn with the hummable buzz of bubblegum gold. New Pornographers’ latest is steeped in the hypnotic headrush repetition of the Feelies and Seventies Krautrock, heavy on drum throb, Sensurround synth swirls and micro-managed glowing-fractal harmony elation – like Steve Reich co-producing an ELO record in 1979, or a vision of early New Wave if MTV had beamed forth from some collectivist art cooperative in the Canadian wilds. But the star-studded, three-hour-plus set also acts as a musical family tree, charting the way Coleman’s liberation-music philosophy has played out across generations. The year’s best electronic album is a dizzying, disorienting, delirious clatter of hyperreal, synthetic sounds.
Best progressive rock band ever. Dark Side of the Moon is the greatest album ever, and that includes Sgt. Peppers (which does have the most innovative use of the studio ever, but the songs themselves aren't as good as on revolver). Usually, it would be the end of a band when the singer leaves/dies (unless it's black sabbath) but ac/dc found a singer in some semi-popular band from England. They recorded their first album with the new singer and it ended up being their breakthrough success, selling over 42 million copies worldwide, being the second best selling album of all time. Nirvana is for me the best band ever, they may not be better than Metallica but they changed the history of RnR. And with Kurt Cobain as frontman they just must be in the top 10. "Have fun in hell!
