Details have finally been revealed for Meshuggah’s eighth studio album! The Violent Sleep of Reason is set for release on Oct. 7! Meshuggah’s awesome discography is about to receive its first addition since Koloss hit shelves in 2012. The Violent Sleep of Reason will deliver 10 new tracks once the album drops this fall. There’s no word on when the record’s first single will begin streaming, but we can’t be too far off. Last year, guitarist Marten Hagstrom spoke about how he tends not to listen to music while working on a new record.

Age of Reason is a studio album by Australian pop singer John Farnham. It was released through Sony BMG in Australia on 25 July 1988 and debuted at No. 1 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Albums Chart in August and remained on top for eight weeks. It was the follow-up to his previous No. 1 album, Whispering Jack, and was the highest-selling album in Australia in 1988. As of 1997, it was eleven times platinum, indicating sales of over 770,000 units.

The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters (Spanish: El sueño de la razón produce monstruos) is an etching by the Spanish painter and printmaker Francisco Goya. Created between 1797 and 1799 for the Diario de Madrid, it is the 43rd of 80 etchings making up the suite of satires Los Caprichos.

But these Swedes have never tried to sound like anyone but themselves, each album carving that track further into metal history. A year shy of their 30th anniversary, the quintet offers another set of intensely syncopated, technical, hard-grooving metal that is not remarkably different than anything they've done before. That said, it's still intricate as hell, meticulously composed, ridiculously complex, and executed with a manic precision beyond the imagination of most metal mortals. The Violent Sleep of Reason doesn't try to reinvent the wheel but to reaffirm its purpose.

The Violent Sleep of Reason is the eighth full-length album by Swedish heavy metal band Meshuggah. It was released on 7 October 2016 on Nuclear Blast. This album was recorded live in the studio, simultaneously with all members, rather than recording each instrument separately as is more common for modern recording. The band announced the new album, its title, and track list via Blabbermouth. net and Revolver magazine on 5 August 2016.

The Violent Sleep Of Reason, the band’s eighth full-length studio album, finds MESHUGGAH building upon their legacy for fearless metal sculpting within the context of extreme metal, but also recapturing some of the magic and excitement specifically within the aspect of performance, finding flow and groove that would be a challenge for any lesser band to locate, given such technical geometric. madness at mischievous hand. It’s actually based on a Goya painting that is called 'The Sleep Of Reason Brings Forth Monsters. A second highlight is strident opener and longest song on the album, 'Clockworks,' which is strafed by a typically super-human drum performance from Haake. That’s more about looking to yourself and who you are and things you want to change about yourself. And then in the context of how your mind works, as a clockwork.

Watch the album reveal video below. The album was produced by the band and was engineered by Tue Madsen of Puk Studios in Kaerby, Denmark.
