Do They Hurt? (1980) is an album by British jazz fusion group Brand X. The tracks on this album are outtakes from the Product sessions. "Noddy Goes to Sweden" was a B-side from Product. "Noddy Goes to Sweden" (Jones) – 4:30. Voidarama" (Goodsall) – 4:21. Act of Will" (Goodsall) – 4:43. Fragile" (Jones, Robinson) – 5:26. Cambodia" (Goodsall) – 4:31. Triumphant Limp" (Goodsall, Giblin, Lumley, Collins) – 7:34.
Do They Hurt? is a music studio album recording by BRAND X (Jazz ive Rock) released in 1980 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Actually, this is an album by two different lineups of Brand X. Five tracks feature John Goodsall on guitar, the always amazing Percy Jones on bass, Peter Robinson on keyboards and Mike Clarke on drums. The other two tracks have John Giblin on bass instead of Jones, Phil Collins on Drums instead of Clarke, and Robin Lumley added as a second keyboardist.
Brand X's 1980 release, "Do They Hurt?", is technically the band's last album featuring all of the major players in the group, such as keyboardists Robin Lumley and Peter Robinson, and, of course, drummer extraordinaire Phil Collins (though he only appears on one track--the drummer on the remaining six tracks I do not know, as my CD booklet doesn't. say. Whoever he is, though, he's very good). And while "Do They Hurt?" isn't the greatest thing the band has ever recorded, it's still an excellent Brand X album. Personal faves include the quirky.

Brand X is guilty of going through the motions on Do They Hurt? At this juncture in Brand X's career, John Goodsall and Percy Jones are the principal forces, with Phil Collins, Morris Pert, and Robin Lumley reduced to a couple of cameos. Peter Robinson, who adopts Lumley's role of providing dreamy keyboards, and drummer Mike Clarke pick up the slack well enough, though John Giblin appears only on one track (the solid if predictably Goodsallian "Voidarama"). The record's final song, ". " is little more than a case of noodling around in a familiar environment.
