Eater were an early British punk rock band from North London who took their name from a Marc Bolan lyric. In October 2001, the band’s second single, "Thinking of the USA" (originally released in June 1977), was included in Mojo magazine's list of the best punk rock singles of all time. In 1999, the track also appeared on the five-CD Universal Records box set 1-2-3-4 Punk & New Wave 1976-1979. Their sound has been characterized as "run-of-the-mill dole queue punk rock" and "basic boy-ish punk rock".

A hermit (adjectival form: eremitic or hermitic) is a person who lives in seclusion from society, usually for religious reasons. Hermits are a part of several sections of Christianity, and the concept is found in other religions as well. In Christianity, the term was originally applied to a Christian who lives the eremitic life out of a religious conviction, namely the Desert Theology of the Old Testament (. the 40 years wandering in the desert that was meant to bring about a change of heart).

Eater - The Album is the only full length album released by British Punk Band "Eater" in 1977.

Hermits are beings endowed with supernatural abilities acquired through religious training. Like celestials, they may live for thousands of years without being actually immortal. However, unlike celestials whose bodies are poisonous to youkai, hermits of earth are considered a delicacy; an animal who consumes the flesh of a hermit would become a youkai, while a youkai who does so would ascend to a higher rank or form.
