The Beatles' 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band has a widely recognized album cover that depicts several dozen celebrities and other images. It was created by Jann Haworth and Peter Blake, who in 1967 won the Grammy Award for Best Album Cover, Graphic Arts for their work on it. Many people have speculated about the cover's intended meaning.

Pepper is the more important album, and perhaps the last time all the Beatles were getting along and functioning as a band, I enjoy the White Album more. Perhaps partly because the White Album has the unfair advantage of having double the songs as Sgt. Pepper, I find myself going back to that album more often than Pepper to delve into the versatility with which the Beatles could make great music.

Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (film). Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is a 1978 British-American musical comedy film directed by Michael Schultz and written by Henry Edwards. The film tells the loosely constructed story of a band as they wrangle with the music industry and battle evil forces bent on stealing their instruments and corrupting their home town of Heartland.

Pepper album cover three times over, her hair poking out from between the wax figures of John Lennon (N. 2) and Ringo Starr (N. 3), and also standing in front of the model of Diana Dors (N. 0). There’s also a cloth figure of the star off to the far right, wearing a jumper emblazoned with the slogan Welcome The Rolling Stones. The famous Sgt Pepper drum skin shows one of two designs by Joe Ephgrave, a fairground artist. His second design used more modern lettering and was attached to the other side of the bass drum, giving the group two options during the photo shoot.

Johan from Stockholm, SwedenThe album Sgt Pepper is very overated. The reason why it so famous is that now 1967, the establishment - after Yesterday - had discovered the Beatles. The album is innovative in some songs just because of the arrangement, but the melodies are not innovative. Pepper logo tattooed? Its on page 249 in the Beatles Anthology book. Stefanie Magura from Rock Hill, ScI like the White Album better too, but this is a great album. Aleksandra from Sofia, BulgariaGreat album ! This album should be a handbook in music world ! Nathan from Defiance, OhRolling Stone said this is the best album ever, but I think they got the wrong Beatles's album. I personally think the White Album is better, listen to them back to back and decide for yourself. Cobain 12th, really? Eddie Van Halen only made #70?!

The Beatles' eighth UK album caused a seismic shift in popular music. Recorded in over 400 hours during a 129-day period, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band helped define the 1967 Summer of Love, and was instantly recognised as a major leap forward for modern music. The mood of the album was in the spirit of the age, because we ourselves were fitting into the mood of the time. The idea wasn't to do anything to cater for that mood – we happened to be in that mood anyway.
