Glenn Martin Tilbrook (born 31 August 1957) is the lead singer and guitarist of the English band Squeeze, a band formed in the mid-1970s who broke through in the new wave era at the decade's end. He generally wrote the melody for Squeeze's songs, while his writing partner, Chris Difford, wrote the lyrics. In addition to his songwriting skills, Tilbrook is respected both as a singer and an accomplished guitarist. He released two solo albums, The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook and Transatlantic Ping Pong. Tilbrook co-wrote some of the songs for his solo recordings with artists such as Ron Sexsmith, Chris Braide and Aimee Mann. Glenn Tilbrook at the Picturedrome, Yorkshire on 19 May 2007. In 2006, the film documentary Glenn Tilbrook: One for the Road was released. It followed Tilbrook on his November 2001 tour across the United States.

This constant activity pays off on 2004's Transatlantic Ping Pong, his second solo album and his best record in a long, long time. Simultaneously looser and more focused than Incomplete, Transatlantic finds Tilbrook returning to the hooky, direct power pop of the best Squeeze albums, but instead of sounding like a retread or a last grasp for glory, he sounds comfortable, as if he knows this is the sound that suits him best. Most important, it sounds like he's having fun, and that's the sentiment that rules the album

Ping Pong biography Italian act PING PONG is another example of a 70's Italian band of which little is known. It is believed that they formed in 1971, at that time consisting of Mauro Falzoni (guitars, vocals), Celso Valli (keyboards), Paride Sforza (saxophone, clarinet), Alan Taylor (bass, vocals) and Vittorio Volpe (drums), and they issued their debut album About Time the same year. Two years later vocalist Giorgio Bertolani joined and contributed to their second full length production Ping Pong in 1973. It is generally believed that the band disbanded shortly after this .
