Ween's debut album, God Ween Satan: The Oneness, is a massive, near-overwhelming bombardment of profanity, hard rock riffing, and goofy genre parody. You Fucked Up" is a perfect mission statement for Ween- a sloppy, furious faux-metal number with recklessly shrieked, flat-out hilarious vocals.

The sound quality is decent, unlike other Plain presses. HOWEVER, for a 180g pressing, the sound quality isn't good enough. What the hell is wrong with Plain?
My copy appears to be this one: same barcode, runout etching, year, label. But mine is 1 Blue and 2 Pink marbled vinyl. Discogs has the 2016 as that color. Am I mixed up or is discogs?
Ok what the heck is up with Plain Recordings? I recently picked up The Mollusk and it is a travesty. Then I remembered I had this record (God Ween Satan on Plain) which I bought in 2010. It's actually really good! Clean and decent sound with lyric insert. So WHY is The Mollusk SO BAD!!?? Why would a company with any integrity and pride in their name release such a terrible product? I want to own Chocolate and Cheese and White Pepper but I don't want to risk buying another piece of crap from Plain and I can't trust reviews on here because everyone just says Plain is garbage by default. So Frustrating
I wonder if there's a chance that the extended "25th" anniversary edition to be brought over to vinyl (and preferably not by Plain)
got this today unaware of plain records , i'm impressed the sound and pressing is pretty good i may have got lucky , sounds better than cd for sure but i would'nt pay more than 25 or 30 bucks,
Yeah, I think Plain is shit, but I had no problems with this one. I got 12 GCG (there was this thing that was pressed on and it was visible to the eye), White Pepper (Stroker Ace would loop on one part), and The Mollusk (shit ton of pops and crackling). They have no quality control, so you're either gonna get a shit press or a good one; there's no in between. All of them was brand new, sealed it came like it out from the get go (go man go)
Plain Recordings SUKKS ....
Couldn't agree more. Wait for the Chocodog release in August.
It's likely not the cover...Plain Recordings makes really cheap represses of albums like these with a poorly done CD rip or equivalent. They'll advertise them as 180 gram vinyl to catch people's attention, but they're generally despised by people who know what they do like me. Sometimes, they will even repress an album on a colored vinyl limited to X amount of copies to get people's attention as well; I've seen this with albums such as Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante on green vinyl limited to 1000 copies or Elliott Smith's Figure 8 on blue and red vinyl limited to 500 copies, and people will price gouge in spite of these poorly made represses. Avoid anything from this company or 4 Men with Beards, since the latter is under the same parent company and basically does the same thing as Plain Recordings, but they repress older albums like Maggot Brain by Funkadelic or Pink Flag by Wire.
why is that? Something nog right with the record or cover?
