GREGG ROLIE released two solo albums during the '80s, but it’s the second one, Gringo (1987), that is regarded as his finest solo moment.
By the time 1988's Gringo rolled around, Journey had all but called it a day (until their reunion a decade or so later) and Gregg Rolie was going in a decidedly different direction than his tenure in either Journey or Santana. However, the new vocalist had to return suddenly to the USA, so Cox drafted in another female, this time an Irish born lass called Annette Casey.
