La Course de Printemps, symphonic poem after Kipling, Op. 95. Heinz Holliger. Le buisson ardent, for orchestra, Part 1, Op. Le buisson ardent, for orchestra, Part 2, Op. blue highlight denotes track pick.
Koechlin originally sketched La Course de Printemps as early as 1908, but did not complete its orchestration until 1927. La Course de Printemps is not as striking as the last and best known in the sequence, the extraordinary Les Bandar-log, and its description of the very end of the book's narrative is almost cinematically literal as it depicts the hero Mowgli growing up and finally leaving the world of animals for that of humans.
