Miike Snow is the self-titled debut album by Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow. It was released in the United States on 9 June 2009 by Downtown Records and in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2009 by Columbia Records, reaching number ninety-five on the UK Albums Chart.

Wyatt’s voice occasionally recalls Sting, and Miike Snow come off as a cheerier Police living in a post-Gnarls Barkley world, where we all make the most of feeling crazy. Miike Snow Miike Snow. A trio featuring singer Andrew Wyatt and mega-hit producers Bloodshy & Avant, Miike Snow debuted in 2009 with a breezy yet weighty electro-pop album, rich with synthetic tones and anthemic choruses. While Bloodshy & Avant made their name concocting ear candy for Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, with Wyatt they aim for something more midtempo and less grandiose. Miike snow is the group’s self-titled debut album. It was recorded in Stockholm and released in the United States on 9 June 2009 by Downtown Records. A single for the track Animal was released on 17 February 2009. Upon a UK release of the song later in the same year, the track reached number 98 on the UK Singles Chart. The second single was Black & Blue. Both singles have made the BBC Radio 1 Playlist B-List. Producers Andrew Wyatt, Miike Snow & Pontus Winnberg.

To get the formalities out of the way, Miike Snow is not a singer/songwriter named Mike. Miike Snow isn't even a he, actually. It's an indie-electro pop trio, made up of singer Andrew Wyatt of Fires of Rome and Swedish (hence the double "i" in the name) mega producers Chris Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, otherwise known as Bloodshy & Avant. Those familiar with Bloodshy & Avant's track record - working with Britney Spears, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue - will know that they're capable of making top-notch pop gloss geared for the dancefloor.
