In certain circles, Jeff Rosenstock is one of the most important figures in modern punk, and with WORRY. he has made his magnum opus. Rosenstock wrote I Did Something Weird Last Night about his girlfriend at the time, who is now his wife; the album’s cover art is taken from their wedding photos. But at the time, he admits, I was preoccupied with how the magic would end/Because nothing intangible remains sustainable/Hope is a scheme. It ties into the worry that pervades every interaction on this record, whether it’s with peers, corporations, political causes, anything-if you actually give a shit, have expectations and get your hopes up, you’re going to get played for a sucker. But later on, he shouts WORRY.
Released October 14, 2016. 1. We Begged 2 Explode Lyrics.
An album so concise, detailed, conceptual, and just plain enjoyable. This is the kind of album that musicians could spend years on as their sole project and get it about half as right as Jeff does here. Worry opens with the Beatles-esque ballad We Begged 2 Explode, which perfectly bridges 2014’s We Cool" and this record. The song captures We Cool"’s worry of growing old, but not necessarily growing up. Losing touch with everyone who you cared about who sold out. The stunning thing is this track sums it all up better than the majority of the songs on that album

Jeff put out 3 singles for WORRY; Festival Song, Wave Goodnight to Me, and Planet Luxury. The second half of this record is crazy, it starts off with Bang on the Door then goes thru a few punk and ska songs, then the song HELLHOOOOLE starts up and goes back to back with the last 4 songs on the record, hearing it live was indescribable
