Tom Tom Club is the first album by Tom Tom Club, released in 1981, containing the UK hit singles "Wordy Rappinghood", which reached No. 7 in June 1981; "Genius of Love", which reached No. 65 in October of the same year; and "Under the Boardwalk", which reached No. 22 in August 1982. When released in the United States, "Genius of Love" peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both "Wordy Rappinghood" and "Genius of Love" topped the US dance chart.
Reload is a 1999 album by Tom Jones. It contains fifteen duets with a range of artists including Van Morrison, Cerys Matthews, Stereophonics, Robbie Williams and Portishead, recorded with their usual record producers and in their usual studios. The tracks are mainly cover versions, with a new version of one of his own songs, "Looking Out My Window" (1968), and one original track, "Sex Bomb".
Boston’s Tom Scholz has a musician’s soul and a scientist’s obsession with the phenomena of sound and music. Those qualities have helped him and his long-running group create some of the most lavishly layered, hooky guitar rock of the Seventies and beyond. The guitarist was a senior product design engineer for Polaroid in the Seventies who spent his off hours tinkering meticulously on a set of demo recordings in his home studio. Although Life, Love & Hope is only Boston’s sixth album in 37 years, you’d be wrong to assume Scholz spends little time in the recording studio. He accomplishes much of this through the labor-intensive practice of splicing analog multitrack tape.
Ironically, hoping to toss off a fun album under the radar, the group came out with an album, the best tracks of which, "Genius of Love" and "Wordy Rappinghood," became enormously influential throughout the '80s and '90s, eventually getting ripped off wholeheartedly for Mariah Carey's "Daydream.

The album incorporates the best of everything Waits had experimented with in the past, all wrapped up and ready to be served in a classic package. There’s gospel, folk, blues, and even pop sensibility – all roughly raw and organic in pure Tom Waits fashion. Mule Variations’ is a monument to Waits’ place in the history of American songwriting.
