As Cap'n Jazz's legacy has grown in popularity, so has demand for a vinyl reissue. This is a package well worth the wait. But for me, this album is pretty much the soundtrack to my teenage years. I have never grown tired of it, and I consider it to be among a handful of albums that helped me develop my taste in music.

Akisame
Cap'n Jazz are one of the major pillars towards the rise of Midwest Emo from being a punk subgenre to blossoming into something much beautiful on its own. It is a blessing that they did not maintain an underground gatekeeper community where you have to know a guy to know a guy to get a pressing on vinyl, rather nearly everything they ever made was assembled into this lovely 2CD compilation. Packed full of amazing music that can make you feel like you're in the band, just having fun making music that you didn't know would push a genre into being.

One of the best albums, period.
