Turn the Page" is a song originally released by Bob Seger in 1973 on his Back in '72 album. Though never released as a single, Seger's live version of the song on the 1976 Live Bullet album became a mainstay of album-oriented rock radio stations, and still gets significant airplay to this day on classic rock stations. Turn the Page" is about the emotional and social ups and downs of a rock musician's life on the road. Seger wrote it in 1972 while touring with Teegarden & Van Winkle.

Turn The Page is the fourth track on Disc 1 from 1998's album Garage, Inc. It was written by Bob Seger and has a length of 6:06. This song was originally released by Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band on the Back in '72 album. Metallica version was recorded in Sep-Oct 1998, at The Plant Studios in Sausalito, CA. Turn The Page was also released by Metallica on a self-titled single.

The line "Turn the page", imho, refers to "put what just happened behind you, move on, and "turn the page""

Lyrics to "Turn The Page" song by Metallica: On a long and lonesome highway east of Omaha You can listen to the engines moanin' out its one note. Turn The Page" (originally by Bob Seger). On a long and lonesome highway east of Omaha You can listen to the engines moanin' out its one note song You can think about the woman or the girl you knew the night before. But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do When you riding sixteen hours there's nothing much to do And you don't feel much like ridin', you just wish the trip was through. Here I am, on the road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playin' star again There I go, turn the page. This song was the first single from the album and it reached number one on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. When Lars Ulrich heard the original song he thought it "had James Hetfield all over it".

Turn the Page Lyrics. On a long and lonesome highway east of Omaha You can listen to the engines moaning out its one old song You can think about the woman, or the girl you knew the night before But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do When you are riding sixteen hours and there's nothing much to do You. don't feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through. But here I am, on the road again There I am, up on the stage There I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page. Out there in the spotlight, you're a million miles away Every ounce of energy, you try to give away And the sweat pours out your body, like the music that you play Later in the evening, as you lie awake in bed With the echoes of the amplifiers, ringing in your head You smoke the day's last cigarette, remembering. what she said What she said.

About Turn The Page lyrics. Album Back In '72 (1973). Here I am On the road again There I am Up on the stage Here I go Playin' star again There I go Turn the page. Well you walk into a restaurant, Strung out from the road And you feel the eyes upon you As you're shakin' off the cold You pretend it doesn't bother you But you just want to explode. Most times you can't hear 'em talk, Other times you can All the same old cliches, "Is that a woman or a man?" And you always seem outnumbered, You don't dare make a stand. Here I am On the road again There I am Up on the stage Here I go Playin' star again.

On a long and lonesome highway east of Omaha You can listen to the engines moanin' out his one note song You'd think about the woman or the girl you knew the night before. But your thoughts will soon be wanderin' the way they always do When you're ridin' sixteen hours there's nothin' much to do And you don't feel much like ridin', you just wish the trip was through. Here I am On the road again There I am Up on the stage There I go Playin' star again There I go Turn the page  . And here I am On the road again There I am Up on that stage And here I go Playin' star again And there I go Turn the page. Appeared on These Releases. Videos of Turn the Page.
