After seven years, Jesse Winchester returned to record stores with a well-crafted pop album made up of new originals in his familiar, winning style. Humour Me lacked the depth of Winchester's best work, but it was easily on a par with his substantial body of craftsmanlike music of the mid-'70s. 1 If I Were Free Jesse Winchester 2:40. 2 Thanks to You Jesse Winchester 3:5.

Humour Me. This song is by Jesse Winchester and appears on the album Humour Me (1988). Forgive me if I seem a little distantIt's true I was a million miles awayCalling on a world that's far behind meAnd still it seems like it was yesterday. Yesterday and just around the cornerI was playing cowboys in the sunI had a little dog that really loved meThere's times I feel like she's the only one.

Album Humour Me. Pushover Lyrics. I know what they told you About I'm so hard to know How I could never love someone Well that just isn't so Cause I'm really kind of cuddly Not to hard to take I'm a teddy bear, I'm a piece of cake And what you hear is barking So I don't ever bite Though I give.
