Showtime is the seventh studio album by American musician James Brown. The album was released in April 1964, by Smash Records. It was the transition album from King Records to Smash Records, however, handicapped by contractual obligations with King Records, Brown released an album of remakes overdubbed with canned applause.

Live at the Garden is a 1967 live album by James Brown and The Famous Flames. It was recorded on January 14, 1967 in the middle of a ten-day engagement at the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey - Brown's first at an upscale nightclub. Like most of Brown's live albums, overdubbed crowd noise was added to the original recording for its LP release.

The best showman and one of the most influential singers of the 20th century, who transformed R&B into funk with his tight, driving style. Live at Studio 54/Live at Chastain Park.

One of the greatest soul performers and influential black artists of the 20th century, James Brown performs some of his most well known tracks on this epic show. The concert was recorded at the height of Brown's career, in the Chastain Park Amphitheatre, Atlanta in 1985. Tracks that he performed include "It's A Man's Man's World," "Please, Please, Please," "Get Up Offa That Thing" and many more of his greatest hits. The Godfather of Soul may have let loose with raw squeals, doo-wop moans, plaintive wails and commanding grunts, but the bands he led never missed a note. Intense raw energy has never been compressed as succinctly as the vacuum-sealed package making up James Brown's band.
