All Gbaya people participate in communal singing and dancing and play various instruments from when a young age. Various Instrumental Music Of The Kalahari San (Folkways Records, 1982). The empire was formed by and under the command of Jean-Bédel Bokassa, president of the Republic, who declared himself Emperor Bokassa I on 4 December 1976.
