Judith Durham AO (Judith Mavis Cock, born 3 July 1943) is an Australian singer, songwriter and musician who became the lead singer of the Australian popular folk music group The Seekers in 1963. The group subsequently became the first Australian pop music group to achieve major chart and sales success in the United Kingdom and the United States, and have sold over 50 million records worldwide. From her birth until 1949, she lived on Mount Alexander Road Essendon and attended Essendon Primary School. She spent summer holidays at her family's weatherboard house (which since has been demolished) on the west side of Durham Place in Rosebud. Her father accepted work in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1949. 25 Year Reunion Celebration (Judith Durham and the Seekers) (1993) AUS No. 9/ UK No. 93. Live in Concert (Melbourne Welsh Male Choir with Judith Durham) (2002).

Seekers videos were then released on DVD including ‘25 Year Reunion Celebration - Live In Concert’ (with bonuses ‘Future Road’ and the rare film clip ‘Far Shore’), ‘The Seekers At Home And Down Under’ and ‘The World Of The Seekers’. But fans of all ages were not ready to say goodbye to the group yet, and in July 2004, The Seekers once again bowed to public demand and undertook their ‘Four Decades Of Gold’ Australia and New Zealand tours. And no. he world can truly celebrate with The Seekers’ milestone as December 3 2012 marks 50 years since the four original members - Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley - first met and performed together in a little coffee shop called ‘Treble Clef’ in Melbourn. oin our mailing list.

Following the Seekers' split, Durham pursued a solo career. She released a Christmas album called For Christmas with Love (recorded in Hollywood, California) and later signed with A&M Records, releasing more albums including Gift of Song and Climb Ev'ry Mountain. Guy hosted his own TV show in Australia, A Guy Called Athol, before entering politics in 1973. The 25-Year Silver Jubilee Reunion Celebration tour in 1993 was sufficiently successful that the group has continued to perform and record together, on and off, ever since. They staged several sell-out tours of Australia, New Zealand and the UK. The reformed group issued several albums, including new studio albums Future Road in October 1997 (which peaked at No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart) and Morningtown Ride to Christmas (which reached the top 20 in 2001). and both albums were certified platinum.
