Michael Korie, Michael Barrett, Stewart Wallace. Composed by Stewart Wallace Libretto by Michael Korie. New York Premiere, 1989 Produced by Dance Theater Workshop/ Brooklyn Academy Next Wave Festival/ New Music America Festival. An unbroken 85 minutes of rituals as ten singers act out the passage of ten souls through the ‘seven gates of spirituality. Mr. Wallace and Mr. Korie carried out their collaboration with apparent seriousness and sincerity. The characters sing and speak in Hebrew, English, Yiddish and Spanish, performing primordial tasks and undergoing cosmic tests – spreading earth on the ground, crossing a burning desert supporting each other – with earnest industry.

Barrett is the second and final studio album of new material released by former Pink Floyd frontman Syd Barrett. Recording began at Abbey Road Studios on 26 February 1970, and lasted for 15 sessions until 21 July. The album was produced by Pink Floyd's guitarist David Gilmour and keyboardist Richard Wright, who also contributed on bass guitar and keyboards respectively, along with previous Madcap contributor Jerry Shirley on drums.

Head of the underground resistance movement AVALANCHE, Barret depends on brute strength and his 'Gun-arm' to see him through. Barret Wallace is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII, and a recurring character in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. He leads the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE, trying to prevent Shinra Electric Power Company from using Mako, the planet of Gaia's life source, as a form of energy.

Korie collaborated with composers Stewart Wallace and Scott Frankel on a number of operas and musicals. After hearing a recording of songs written by Korie, Wallace contacted Korie with an idea for a satirical opera that became Where's Dick?. Wallace and Korie premiered Where's Dick? in 1989 at the Houston Grand Opera. Their opera Kabbalah was staged that year as well as part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Next Wave Festival
