Complete your Alpha & Omega collection. This album is very good. I had no idea what it was coming into it but when I started listening to it I really enjoyed it. The pressing has a good volume to it and is very clear. All the tracks on this album are good and really don't slow down in a good way. The vocals are kind of harsh but not complete screaming but it works really well. I got this album because the cover looked good and it was a decent price. I would recommend this album if your into good thrash and modern metal core. Good album if you can get it for a good price.
The multi-talented performer parlayed his stunning guitar skills into a vaunted reputation as one of the hottest blues axemen on the West Coast during the 1950s.
But there are still some great blues album covers out there, as we revea. While the rest of the band’s expressions range from bored to pensive and self-conscious, a preoccupied Eric Clapton is caught reading a copy of the Beano comic on what is a delightfully informal and naturalistic shot for a blues album cover. The backdrop of a graffiti-adorned wall also emphasised the urban grittiness of their sound. This hilarious anomaly among blues album covers offers a literal interpretation of a common US slang expression, depicting Watson’s mother pushing him in a pram converted into a pimp mobile. It showed that Watson didn’t take himself too seriously and wasn’t afraid to be the butt of a good joke. Bo Diddley: Have Guitar Will Travel (1960).
That sweet soul music? If so, here are 10 classic soul records you absolutely need to hear. The album also has their biggest hit single, their well-known cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Proud Mary, in addition to other Ike Turner originals and some Beatles covers. Etta James began her career in a doo-wop girl group in the ‘50s, easily moving between R&B, blues, and rock, before signing to Chess Records where she incorporated more pop ballads and vocal jazz into her repertoire. But by the mid-‘60s her career faltered and Chess sent her to Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, looking for some of the same success that had come to Aretha Franklin.
