Only for completionists (9%). Watch out, this NOT the best of Saga. So, I cant really recommend this album for anyone except the mainstream pop fan. Mind you, all the songs are good. Even when Saga went commercial they embellished their already catchy songs with tasteful arrangements, excellent vocals and skilfully playing. However, they have far better stuff, specially for the progressive listener.
Saga is the first studio album by the Canadian progressive rock band Saga and was originally released 8 April 1978. True to the album's legendary status among the fans, there are no Saga concerts without material from the debut. Humble Stance" is very high on the fan favourites' list and therefore a mainstay of the setlists. The song features on all the band's regular live releases. How Long", "Tired World (Chapter Six)", "Perfectionist" and "Ice Nice" are also often played live.
The Very Best Of Saga" is most likely the best Saga compilation you will find. hits are here, although I wish they would've included the album track "Amnesia". 11 people found this helpful. Over the years, Saga has given us some great music but I can't understand how an album can be called "The Very Best of Saga" and not include the song "Don't Be Late"! I believe that a good number of Saga fans would agree. It's nice to have the haunting "You & the Night" and the catchy "What Do I Know" included but you just can't leave out "Don't Be Late".
The Very Best of The Doors (2007 album). The Very Best of the Doors is the ninth compilation album by the rock band The Doors. It was released on September 25, 2007 to commemorate the band's 40th anniversary. The masters were drawn from the same remixes/remasters used for the 2006 Perception box set and 2007 Doors reissues. Three versions of the album were released.

After that, egos and infighting hampered the band, leading to just one more album in 1979's The Long Run before a disbandment in 1982, which was followed 12 years later by a reunion, charmingly dubbed Hell Freezes Over, since most pundits predicted that's when the band would reunite. This isn't much new ground to cover for a compilation, as the spotty 1982 The Eagles Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 illustrated, but even with a box set like 2000's Selected Works, there was room for a collection that contained all their big hits on one or two discs: hence the birth of Warner Strategic.
