Behind the Mask is the fifteenth studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in 1990. It was the first album released by the band after the departure of guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. He was replaced by Billy Burnette and Rick Vito, both guitar players, singers and songwriters. Fleetwood Mac thus became a six-piece band with four singer/songwriters.
Time is the 16th studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in 1995. This album features a unique line-up for the band featuring the addition of former Traffic guitarist Dave Mason and country vocalist Bekka Bramlett (daughter of Delaney and Bonnie).
The discography of Fleetwood Mac consists of 17 studio albums, 8 live albums, 23 compilation albums, one extended play single, and 62 singles. The 1967–1969 era Blue Horizon albums (Fleetwood Mac, Mr. Wonderful, The Pious Bird of Good Omen and Fleetwood Mac in Chicago) and 1971 outtakes album The Original Fleetwood Mac have been remastered and reissued on CD, as have the 1975–1987 era Warner Bros. studio albums Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, and Tango in the Night.

The title of the album is a phrase found in an 1817 gloss (marginal note) to Samuel Taylor Coleridge's 1798 epic poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. The phrase refers to the albatross killed in the poem ("The ancient Mariner inhospitably killeth the pious bird of good omen"). Its use as an album title as well as the album art is a sly wink to the featuring of the band's number 1 UK hit "Albatross. The US-only compilation English Rose was a similar package, sharing five songs with this album, and was released earlier in 1969. In 2002, the tracks from this album. "I Believe My Time Ain't Long" (Master version with studio talk/remix ).
Fleetwood Mac’s own melodrama was brewing well before Nicks penned Silver Springs. She and Buckingham met as teenagers at a religious-group gathering; after high school, they became romantic and musical partners, eventually teaming up in the duo Buckingham Nicks. The album was nearly finished when Mick Fleetwood pulled Nicks out into the parking lot of the Record Plant, the Sausalito, California, studio where much of the album had been recorded. I knew it was really serious ’cause Mick never asks you to go out to the parking lot for anything, Nicks recalled in a 1991 BBC radio interview. This led to another heated dialogue between the two about Silver Springs.
Fleetwood Mac then struggled to remain relevant with 1990’s Behind The Mask having moderate success and 1995’s Time going largely unnoticed. In 1997, the classic lineup of Fleetwood, McVie, McVie, Nicks, Buckingham reunited to record the live album The Dance to international success, three Grammy nominations, a North American tour and a 1998 induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
