Gundei (aka Grandmaster Garner) Good Times (1999). play) (pause) (download) (fb) (vk) (tw). Grandmaster Garner Baby I'm A Star (Club).
The newest twelve-inch from Gundei sounds typical of the hip-hop coming from the Mount Real. This time around Gundei comes a little more solid than he did on his last single, The Solution/Baby, I’m A Star twelve-inch released under the name Grandmaster Garner. However, like that last single the newest one hits on one song and fails with another. Propagundei is a smooth reggae-influenced jam with some nice political lyrics and great instrumental choices by producer Haig V and live trombone added by Dave Hodge
Propaganda is an album by English post-punk band the Sound. It was recorded in 1979, before they recorded their debut album Jeopardy, and comprises the earliest material that they recorded. It was not released until April 1999 by record label Renascent, more than 10 years after the band broke up. It was viewed by the band as their true first album. Re-recorded versions of three of the tracks appeared on Jeopardy: "Missiles", "Night Versus Day" and "Words Fail Me".
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five is a compilation album release by Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five (On The Strength is their official second album). It was released in July 1983, and it is a compilation of their Sugar Hill Records hit singles including "The Message", "New York New York and "White Lines". Over half of the tracks were single-only releases prior to this compilation.
1234 is the second studio album by Propaganda. Released in 1990, Michael Mertens was the only remaining member of the group from their previous album A Secret Wish, though original member Suzanne Freytag made a guest appearance on two tracks, and the album includes some songs co-written by Ralf Dörper. New group members included Derek Forbes and Brian McGee, both formerly of Simple Minds, and vocalist Betsi Miller.
Born Garner Remy, Gundei grew up in Port au Prince, Haiti during the Baby Doc era in the 80’s. Gundei learned his English by devouring the encyclopedias his mother brought back from her professional foreign trips.
