Honky Tonk Heroes is an album by American country music artist Waylon Jennings, released in 1973 on RCA Victor. With the exception of "We Had It All", all of the songs on the album were written or co-written by Billy Joe Shaver. The album is considered an important piece in the development of the outlaw subgenre in country music as it helped revive the honky tonk music of Nashville by injecting a rock and roll attitude.

I played with Jerry Naylor in the 70's who first recorded this song. What a great shuffle to play steel on. Anyone know who is playing steel on this? I will reach out to Amber Digby and some of my Texas pals to see if they know. about 6 years ago. C. Buck Hyres In reply to ssilver996. I dig Jerry's version. This is pretty good, but I'm so used to listening to Jerry Naylor's rendition this version seems ed in comparison. Thanks for sharing this good country! Rudi.

In it, there is a quote attributed directly to Keith in which he freely admits that Ry Cooder came up with the licks for Honky Tonk Women. Greg from Potown, NyAs to whether the central riff was stolen, listen to Ry Cooder's work, then listen to the Stones prior to Honky Tonk Woman, there can be no doubt that Keith Richards purloined the sirloin. Both songs, if you listen carefully, end up saying the same thing.

There's many times married men think they're still single. Женатым мужчинам часто кажется, что они всё ещё холосты, That has caused many a good girl to go wrong. As you said in the words of your song. Как ты сказал в словах своей песни. There's many times married men think they're still single. Что заставляет хороших девочек совершать ошибки. – Кавер на композицию It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels в оригинальном исполнении Kitty Wells.

There's a lot of truth to the title of Mark Chesnutt's tenth album, 2004's Savin' the Honky Tonk. Chenutt began his career as a new traditionalist country singer, indebted to Merle and George and singing straight-ahead honky tonk, but as his star rose and the decade rolled along, he moved further and further into country-pop, culminating in his 1999 crossover hit "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," a cover of Aerosmith's love theme to Michael. Bay's absurd Armageddon.
