I love the White Stripes, the album is great. The first I sent back and the replacement was warped and I only kept the second warped one because there were two copies of the same record included (one of those original/remastered deals) and I was too frustrated to send it back. This album will keep going back until they get it right. I mean, come on, how could anyone live up to such praise? Only insider connections or rabid flavor of the week/year journalism could produce such a uniform response, IMO. But I was wrong. And I'm happy about that. Anyway, what more can be said about the White Stripes that hasn't been said already?
The White Stripes’ set that night included original songs and covers that would span the band’s first three albums, which includes their 2001 hit Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground off White Blood Cells. The blues and folk covers the band recorded for their self-titled debut also made appearances, such as Bob Dylan’s One More Cup of Coffee and Robert Johnson’s Stop Breaking Down. Third Man has released a live version of Let’s Build a Home that would eventually appear on the group’s 2000 album De Stijl. The White Stripes: Live at the Gold Dollar, Vol. III Track List: 1.
