The group's self-titled debut album, which was originally expected to be released in 2012, was released on June 25, 2013 by Ipecac Recordings-a label that was co-founded by Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle) and released many of Isis' albums. Harris recorded and mixed the album. Harris recorded his drum tracks at Joe Barresi's (Queens of the Stone Age, Melvins) House of Compression studio, and Moreno recorded his vocals at Harris' home studio Palms released a music.
In describing the album, Baxter Roy Long writes "I found an image of someone molding clay hands into the fragile unevenness of plastic sheathing. I took a photo of that photo and placed it between a projector mirror and my center. I bowed beneath it with microphone in hand, elbows acute and catching breath on the offbeat. I rotated the stereo out to a mono in and cut off the high end so the remaining warbles could slowly boil in the cauldron. Released May 19, 2017 on Furious Hooves.
