Feelgood are an English pub rock band formed in 1971. Hailing from Canvey Island, Essex, the group are best known for early singles such as "She Does It Right", "Roxette", "Back in the Night" and "Milk and Alcohol". We blew it all to pieces. The best of dr feelgood. Roxette (1974) The Feelgoods' debut single sees unrelenting rhythm section – the Big Figure and Sparko – interlock with Wilko Johnson's murderously circling guitar riff, while Lee Brilleaux growls and howls on harmonica and go back home.

Wilko Johnson (born John Peter Wilkinson, 12 July 1947) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was a member of the pub rock/rhythm and blues band Dr. Feelgood in the 1970s. Johnson and Dr Feelgood were an influence on the English punk movement. Paul Weller has said of Johnson: "Wilko may not be as famous as some other guitarists, but he's right up there. And there are a lot of people who'll say the same. I can hear Wilko in lots of places.

Dr Feelgood guitar is great guitar. Steve Walwyn’s RnB axes here follow a traditionally Tele gig with amazing guitarists syncopating and Feelgood-chopping their way through some intense and compelling stage shows. Steve has become an eloquent stalwart in the Dr Feelgood lineup with due respect and more than a nod to his great British guitar forebears in the form of Gordon Russell, Gypie Mayo, Bernie Torme and of course Wilko Johnson. The curious aspect re: this book is that Dr. Feelgood had been publicly outed decades ago and as quickly as his activities were exposed they were just as quickly forgotten. While there are many details and assertions regarding the first couple in this book, I tended to look at the global picture which reflected how things went on back then and how they are now.
