Covered is the sixth studio album by American recording artist Macy Gray, released on March 26, 2012 by 429 Records. Because of the profanities in some covers, such as "Creep", "Teenagers" and the skit "Really", this is Gray's first album to officially bear a Parental Advisory warning, though a clean version was also issued. Gray appeared on Conan to promote the album.

Since her previous album, 2003’s The Trouble With Being Myself, was a commercial letdown, Gray approaches her follow-up with a newfound attention to slicker production detail, courtesy of producer and record label honcho Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige) and Black Eyed Peas frontman will. The extra-layered backing vocals, the smooth, seamless grooves, the occasional nod to modern R&B and hip-hop ( Ghetto Love ) among the updates to the string-fueled Philly Soul that she prefers all mean Gray has not so much been relocated as refurbished.
Stripped is the ninth studio album recorded by American singer-songwriter Macy Gray. It was released on September 9, 2016 on Chesky Records label. Although Gray's vocals had often been compared to jazz vocalists, Stripped is her first overtly jazz album and features live-in-the-studio recording techniques and accompaniment by leading jazz instrumentalists. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.

Jones, one of the founders of the legendary Stax band Booker T. and the MG's, agreed to work with her on her new album, The Way.
