The Illusion is a 1969 album by The Illusion. It was released on the Steed Records label and reached in the Billboard album charts and stayed in the charts for 27 weeks. Mysterious producer Trux impressed with his concept album Orbiter on Avenue 66 last year and delivers an exciting ambient track with reminiscences of a shadowy beat. Lastly the traditional contribution of a remix by Dial Records co-founder Carsten Jost rounds up the lineup with a warm Rhodes driven House version of Transitions.
Surprisingly, some five years have passed since Peter Kersten AKA Lawrence last appeared on Dial, a label he co founded with Carsten Jost. His return to the imprint is, naturally, an impressive one, with Illusion his eighth studio album offering up nine absorbing, ultra atmospheric deep house cuts wrapped in homemade field recordings and ear catching acoustic instrumentation.
