Small Faces were an English British Beat band formed in 1965 by Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy Winston (who was soon replaced by Ian McLagan). Heavily influenced by American rhythm and blues, they later evolved into a psychedelic act before disbanding in 1969.

Small Faces were an English rock band from East London. The group was founded in 1965 by members Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy Winston, although by 1966 Winston was replaced by Ian McLagan as the band's keyboardist. The band is remembered as one of the most acclaimed and influential mod groups of the 1960s with memorable hit songs such as "Itchycoo Park", "Lazy Sunday", "All or Nothing", and "Tin Soldier", as well as their concept album Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake.

The best album by Small Faces is Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake which is ranked number 1,163 in the overall greatest album chart with a total rank score of 2,118. Small Faces is ranked number 714 in the overall artist rankings with a total rank score of 3,031. Members who like this artist also like: The Who, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. 4 outstanding studio albums and gone. There's been noone like them since. Whole Lotta Love is very close to a straight ripoff of this song (which is turn, a cover of Willie Dixons's song he wrote for Muddy Waters, but Steve Marriot made it his own). This band may seem like a copy cat of all the other hit 60's bands at first, but they truly were unique and have that particular feel that just works like the Beatles or the Who.

Afterglow Of Your Love. Wham Bam Thank You Mam. B1. –The Nice. America (Adapted From "West Side Story").

The (Small) Faces gave rock the best of both worlds with their original incarnation as mod hipsters and eventual transformation to raucously joyous boogie-blues rockers. To the top. The Small Faces’ career is unique in rock and roll, occurring in two stages that saw a partial realignment in personnel and pronounced shift in style. Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake was the Small Faces’ final album, although a . only double LP, The Autumn Stone (1969), collected their late-period singles and unreleased tracks. The original Small Faces fell apart on December 31, 1968, when Marriott walked offstage during a New Year’s Eve show. He contacted guitarist/singer Peter Frampton and formed Humble Pie, which had success in an earthier blues-and-boogie style. From the ashes of the Small Faces rose the Faces.

Well, the live album we’ve chosen was in a metal box that had die-cut holes in it; a work of considerable engineering and also a very creative idea. Just like Isaac Hayes’s cover for Black Moses, a double album from the early 1970s. So here they are, the 10 albums generally considered to be the Best of the Best as far as album design is concerned.
