The Best Years of Our Lives is the third studio album by Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, released in 1975. It was the first album that featured Harley's name ahead of the band's (the band was previously known simply as Cockney Rebel). The album contains the band's only UK number one, the million-selling "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)". The album was produced by Harley and Alan Parsons.
Further down the list, old-timers like Dylan, the Stones and Lou Reed hit new highs; Public Enemy and Run-D. kicked out some serious streetwise jams; Metallica and Guns N’ Roses established new hard-rock beachheads; and Hüsker Dü, Sonic Youth and the Replacements offered definitive statements of postpunk angst. The embarrassment of riches on this list is all the more remarkable, since arthritic radio programming, corporate sponsorship and outbursts of racism and sexism in rap and metal have complicated rock’s present and raised fears for its future . And it paid of. The notion Parker had for his 1988 album was that he should write all the songs and produce them himself-but that proved problematic.
These Are the Days of Our Lives. These Are the Days of Our Lives" is a song by the British rock band Queen.

The Rolling Stones' third album in the UK, and fourth in the US. Released in September of 1965, Out of Our Heads is mostly made up of blues cover songs; common in their early albums where the Jagger/Richards duo weren’t full-fledged writers yet. From this album spawned (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, one of their biggest hits to date. Rolling Stone listed the US album as number 116 in their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Looking back at the songs on the album, you can definitely see the knowledge by the entire group that Freddie wasn't going to be around much longer and this song is a perfect example of that. Jake from Newport, NhPS - I mean a forced smile (not painfully) but the message was to Bryn, Blackburn, England who seemed to think Brian was actually their during the filming. Adam from Birmingham, EnglandThese are the days of our lives is my favourite beacause Freddie comes on as a completely different person, weak and not as flamboyant. I cried the first time I watched it and still get that feeling inside when I hear his final words, "I still love you", he looks back on his life and wishes he could re do it, in a way telling us to live our lives more better and carefullly. He is my god and always will be, thank you Freddie.
The band's style draws heavily on sixties and seventies punk and rock, such as Rolling Stones and Iggy and the Stooges. Psychedelic rock forms another strong influence, and psychedelic and mystical references are also prominent in the band's lyrics and aesthetics. The abbreviation 'OEOC', which features on all their albums, refers to the phrase "as above, so below" from Hermeticism. The album is the band's longest to date at twenty-four tracks. After the decision was made to postpone the Origin Vol. 2 project, the band wrote entirely new material and recorded it, which became Communion.
