1944" is a song written and performed by Ukrainian singer Jamala. It represented Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and won with a total of 534 points. A music video for the song was released on 21 September 2016. Appears on: Wonderful World, Beautiful People (A&M). Nelson had gotten his start writing hits like "Crazy" for Patsy Cline, but his own breakthrough was a cover of an old country standard written by Rose in 1945 and originally recorded by Roy Acuff. Delivered with Nelson’s jazz-singer phrasing, it’s the beating heart of Red Headed Stranger, his 1975 concept album about love and death in the Old West. Appears on: Red Headed Stranger (Sony).

Amazing song by and amazing band. This song really goes in deep and shows the amazement of the person within. It is a hard song to sing but it does contain that challenge to try and do. By putting it on you can tell it is going to be good. I think it's THE greatest song of all times. The song evolves till the amazing solo (one of the hardest solos ever written). This song is highly complex, using a simple acoustic guitar to a nightmarish orchestra. Also do not forget about the final E chord at the end, that thing lasted 40 seconds or so. The vocals are also much better than other Beatles song.

Criteria: These songs were chosen and ranked according to their initial and lasting popularity and also on their impact and influence on the course of musical history. At that time most songs were recorded by many different artists, so we have listed more than one version of each song on the majority of the entries. The most significant version of the song is the one by the first artist that is listed. Last Updated: 2010-08-27. Wabash Cannon Ball - Roy Acuff 14. Can The Circle Be Unbroken (Bye And Bye) - Carter Family 15. Stormy Weather - Ethel Waters, Leo Reisman (Harold Arlen) 16. Body And Soul - Coleman Hawkins, Paul Whiteman, Libby Holman 17.

The muse for this orchestra-backed love song is Linda, Paul McCartney's first wife. It holds the distinction of being the best-selling track from their 1973 album Red Rose Speedway. Best of My Love" by The Emotions. Endless Love" by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. The producers of the film Endless Love were looking for a breakout song for their film starring Brooke Shields. Hence, this famous Ross and Richie melody was born. The country crooner wrote this for his 2003 album Greatest Hits Volume II, the inspiration being his relationship with his then-wife. Lyrics like Remember when 30 seemed so old/Now lookin' back /It's just a steppin' stone," look at love in hindsight. Tucker's country love song from her 1992 album of the same name tells the story of a couple overcoming obstacles. The world says they'll never make it, love says they will" pretty much sums up the idea of true love.

The lead song of The Low End Theory – one of Hip Hop’s most celebrated albums ever – shines because of the back-and-forth synergy between Q-Tip and Phife, who bounce their lines off each other effortlessly and to perfection. The ultimate ATCQ track? 8. The Pharcyde - Passin' Me By (1992). In a time when gangsta rap was starting to dominate West Coast Hip Hop, these guys didn’t feel the need for gangster posturing and weren’t afraid to show their funny & vulnerable sides. Passin’ Me By is one of the big tracks off their epic debut album Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde and an undisputed.
