Debra Killings is the vocalist who sang "Movin' Cool (The Afterparty)" in the movie, "Idlewild. Surrender is her first Gospel album. She wrote, or cowrote, all but three of the songs on the album. Those of us who have followed her secular career won't be disappointed by the quality of her voice and the familiar tones. Its selections sing Christian themes in pop, jazz, soul, and R&B genres. The addition of songs written by Fred Hammond and Kandi Burruss (of Xscape fame) help to balance this mostly jazz/soul album

Debra Killings (born July 7, 1966) is an American singer and bass guitarist, notable for extensive session and background vocal work for LaFace Records and Rowdy Records-based artists such as TLC, Monica and OutKast. Killings appears on the majority of the recordings in TLC's catalogue singing background vocals, in Monica's first albums (Miss Thang, The Boy is Mine), and has performed both background vocals and bass guitar for several OutKast albums, including ATLiens and Aquemini.
