RTFO Bandwagon is one such band. The Columbus quartet grows its diverse fan base by playing in varied venues with a wide range of acts, none of whom quite mesh with RTFO’s indefinable sound. On Dums Will Survive, that sound has evolved from the sweetly unkempt folk-pop of 2007 debut Flagships into a raucous, rickety blend of folk and post-punk. From the skewed serenity of Like a Dan Shearer Over Troubled Water to the dissonant, harrowing hall-of-mirrors Skipper Bunkum, it’s as engaging as it is unusual  . I'll take your part When darkness comes And pain is all around Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down. Sail on Silver Girl, Sail on by Your time has come to shine All your dreams are on their way See how they shine If you need a friend I'm sailing right behind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind.

Bridge over Troubled Water is the fifth and final studio album by American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, released in January 1970 on Columbia Records. Following the duo's soundtrack for The Graduate, Art Garfunkel took an acting role in the film Catch-22, while Paul Simon worked on the songs, writing all tracks except Felice and Boudleaux Bryant's "Bye Bye Love" (previously a hit for the Everly Brothers).

Bridge over Troubled Water is the titular song of Simon & Garfunkel’s album of the same name. The single was released on January 26, 1970, though it also appears on the live album Live 1969, which was released in 2008. This song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on February 28, 1970, and reigned at the top chart for six continuous weeks. Bridge over Troubled Water also topped the adult contemporary chart in the . The single has sold 6 million copies worldwide

Bridge Over Troubled Water was one of the biggest-selling albums of its decade, and it hasn't fallen too far down on the list in years since. Apart from the gospel-flavored title track, which took some evolution to get to what it finally became, however, much of Bridge Over Troubled Water also constitutes a stepping back from the music that Simon & Garfunkel had made on Bookends - this was mostly because the creative partnership that had formed the body and the motivation for the duo's four prior. albums literally consumed itself in the making of Bridge Over Troubled Water.
